JenRan Homes - Newsletter June 2008

Featured Home Plan

Good News, Bad News
This months newsletter was supposed to announce our newly redesigned website.  We have had some changes this past month that have forced us to put the redesign on hold.

Bad news first, we are no longer affiliated with Greystokes Intl. offering Cedar Homes.  BUT, we do still have access to western red cedar siding so if you are looking to build a cedar home we still have options available for you.

Now the good news, we are working on joining Moosehead Cedar Log Homes as a dealer/builder.  So if you are interested in building a Cedar Log Home we will have plenty of options for you.  Keep an eye on our newsletter next month for more details.

Homebuilding Tips
The Element of Nature
When considering the design of your home be sure to take into account the surroundings on your lot. Where will your house face south?  Place more windows on the southern and eastern sides of your home to use solar gain.  Try to avoid windows on the north side to keep the heat loss down in the winter. Take a look at the trees you plan to keep. Will they be too close to the house? Will they create too much shade or not enough?
So be sure to take your time and think about your house design, the topography of your lot and the houses that surround your lot to be sure your home is designed for your lifestyle and the surrounding environment.
