Panelized vs. Stick Built |
|
On our website you may notice the
"Panelized" section. For those looking to build a stick
frame house using our panelized option is the best way to go.
Some may hear the word "panelized" and get scared away but
here is a great explanation on the difference between panelized and
stick building on site: Q.
How does a panelized home compare to a conventional stick built
home?
A.
The walls and floors for your home will be assembled in a controlled
environment, out of the rain and snow. Quality control standards for
design, workmanship, and materials are met for each home before it
is shipped. Your home will be weather-tight much faster than a stick
built home, which will protect your asset from damaging elements.
And each Harvest Home comes with a 10 year structural Warranty. You
will save time and money without compromising quality.
Give us a call and we will discuss how using our panelized option will
work for you!

Tips |
Up, Down
and All Around
Many people put great thought into the brand of windows they
put into their new home but often people don't think about the type
of windows they will be using. Windows come in a variety of
"flavors".
Double Hung: Normal windows you would see in a Colonial
design. Bottom or top of window can open.
Single Hung: Similar to a Double Hung but only the bottom portion of
the window opens.
Casement: Opens with crank to the
right or the left.
Slider: Large windows that open with the left or right side sliding
to opposite side.
Awning: Opens from the bottom to the top with a crank.
There are of course other types of non-opening windows like picture,
rake or palladium windows. Your views and style
preference will help you decide what style of windows to use.
