The Timberline - 2239 Sq.Ft.
The
Timberline has two distinctly different architectural styles in
one home plan. The front elevation has three gables with eyebrows
and large overhangs plus the tudor hipped side gables giving this
home a more traditional design. The rear elevation with its two
story gable wall of glass and large exterior deck makes this
elevation a vacation home design. The great room's cathedral
ceiling, stone fireplace, and open stairs leading up to a loft,
make this room the homes centerpiece. The large kitchen and dining
room are just off the great room, perfect for entertaining. The
master bedroom suite has a walk-in closet and private bath and the
laundry area is on the first floor for convenience.

Custom Design is Not a Four
Letter Word |
|
Ok, We know it's obvious that it's not a four
letter word but many people see dollar signs when they hear custom
design. Whether you are going Modular, Panelized, Log or Post &
Beam all of the companies offer custom design at a very low cost.
It's a fraction what it would cost to hire an architect. We have
created a webpage that shows some examples of custom designs done by
some of the different suppliers. Take a look at www.jenranhomes.com/custom.html
to see what is
possible. Remember, we offer standard plans as a convenience
not as a requirement.

Attached,
Detached or Under?
Many people put a good deal of though into the living space
of their new home but how much though is put into the garage? How
does your lifestyle effect your garage design? If you want to stay
dry while bringing in the groceries or be able to take a quick trip
to get a screwdriver then an attached garage suits your needs.
If you like to keep the noise of the car and garage door opener from
the house then you probably would prefer a detached garage. If your
lot permits, you can save some money and put your garage underneath
your home, but be careful in designing the living space above so you
don't hear the noise from the garage below. When it comes to cost
savings, with an attached garage you save on concrete and material
because of the shared walls but gain some expense in adding firecode
drywall and doors. A detached garage does not need to be insulated
or sheetrocked so a cost savings can be realized there as well. We
can help you design your home to fit your lifestyle and land. Give
us a call to get your design started now.

GOING SOLAR, Introduction to Solar Water Heating:
Because of their low cost and high power density, mid-temperature Solar Water Heaters have always been the first thing to do when "going solar" but their great weight made the installation very difficult and expensive.
The Revolutionary Lightweight, Attractive Design of the "Skyline" Solar Water Heater changes that paradigm and makes solar water heating truly practical for everyone. The Federal 30% Tax Credit and Fast Rising Fuel Costs Make Now The Time to Install a Solar Water Heating System!
Solar (domestic) water heaters are a cost-effective way to generate hot water for your home. They can be used in any climate, and the fuel they use, sunshine, is free!
On average, water heaters use as much energy as a medium-sized car uses in a year. Each installed solar water heater is like increasing the fuel mileage on the family car by over 60%.
