Beechwood - 2500 Sq.Ft.
The Beechwood design, with its mid-level entry, goes well on
a level or a sloping lot, making it ideal for either the beach or
mountains. The dramatic entry, with the post and beam roof,
creates an inviting, open and warm space as soon as one enters the
home. One of our most popular designs, this plan’s flexibility
and functionality assure:
- An expansive living space that features four bedrooms, three
baths, a family room, along with an open kitchen/dining/living
area
- An innovative kitchen design that was originally designed
for a Swiss chef and is a favorite for its traffic flow and
raised bar, allowing the cook to still be part of the party
- A fireplace that can be moved to a number of different
locations in the living room, even becoming a see-through
between the living and dining rooms
- A main living area on the second floor that captures the
beauty of the famous TimbeRoof Post and Beam cathedral
ceilings

Don't Be
Afraid of the E Word
What is the E word? Engineers. Frequently, when
people hear the E word they envision big dollars and shy away from
going forward. The E word is used often when building a home.
A engineered septic system requires an engineered drawing. Does this
mean it costs too much? No, here in Connecticut, most septic systems
are engineered. Usually only adding a few thousand dollars to
the total cost of the septic system.
While engineered blueprints are not required in Connecticut, most
system built companies have their homes engineered in order to
ensure the highest quality construction. Does this mean a high cost?
No, usually engineering of drawings only runs about $1000.
This ensures the home is designed to building criteria required by
the State of Connecticut and has an engineered stamp to show that it
meets the code. So whenever you hear the word engineered mentioned,
don't think that it's going to break the bank but take comfort in
the fact that you are going to have a well built home.
