The Somerset - 1796 Sq.Ft. This home meets the needs of a younger couple looking for a starter home or the later in life couple who are looking to down size. It is a very attractive home with its covered front entryway and false dormers. This design is desirable for a narrow lot, but because of the steep roof pitch this home appears larger than its 1796 square foot plan. The large family room is just off the kitchen/breakfast area and there is a formal dining room for special occasions. The master suite has a large walk-in closet and beautiful bath area.

for Events It seems in today's modern designs the formal dining room is becoming a thing of the past. One of the common complaints in older homes is that the kitchen is separate from the main entertaining area. This separation usually causes guests to hang out in the kitchen. This causes many people to design their new home with extra large kitchens. To avoid this, you can create an open floor plan that intermingles the kitchen, dining and entertaining area. When guests can see the hosts in the kitchen but still be in the entertaining area, they don't feel the need to "hang out" in the kitchen. This allows the hosts more workspace in the kitchen and lets them be a part of the party!
